Widget
Floating widget
Also known as: Floating player, Picture-in-picture widget
A small persistent video player that docks to a corner of the screen as the shopper scrolls.
In detail
A floating widget is a shoppable player that pins to a corner — usually bottom-right on desktop and above the add-to-cart button on mobile — and follows the shopper as they scroll. It can autoplay a muted video to drive attention or stay dormant until clicked. The product tags are shown inside the player when it is expanded. This placement is powerful but intrusive; most merchants use it on product pages only.
Examples
- A product page floats a 30-second demo in the bottom-right; tapping it expands to full-screen with two tag buttons for related accessories.
