Native Shopify app
Byvano is a native Shopify app. Connect Instagram, YouTube or TikTok, tag products from your catalogue onto each video, and publish a shoppable widget to your product, collection or home page — without editing theme code.

A Shopify product page is asked to do a difficult thing: replace the act of picking something up. Photography answers what an item looks like. It does not answer how a fabric moves, how large a bag actually is against a person, how loud a blender is, or how quickly a serum absorbs. Those are the questions that stall a purchase, and they are the questions video answers without the shopper having to ask.
That is also why video tends to reduce returns rather than only increase conversions. A shopper who has watched a garment move on someone their size is making a better-informed decision, and better-informed decisions come back less often. For merchants in apparel and footwear, where return rates routinely run above 20%, that second effect is frequently worth more than the conversion lift.
The practical problem has never been whether video works. It is that most Shopify merchants already have the video — dozens of Reels, Shorts and TikToks that performed well on social — and no straightforward way to put it on the storefront where it can be bought from. Social platforms are rented attention: a Reel earns its views in the first 48 hours and then the feed moves on. The same clip on your product page keeps working for as long as the product sells.
Install Byvano and connect your Instagram, YouTube or TikTok account from inside Shopify Admin. Byvano reads your video library — it does not require you to re-upload or re-host anything.
Pick the clips that earned engagement on social. Those are your proven creative; there is no reason to guess when the data already exists.
Byvano reads your Shopify product catalogue. Tag any product to any moment in a video in the visual editor — position, timing and destination link are all set without code.
Add a carousel, grid, stories or floating widget through the Shopify theme editor. It works with Online Store 2.0 sections, so placement is drag-and-drop rather than a Liquid edit.
Track views, clicks, add-to-carts and attributed revenue per video, so you learn which creative sells rather than only which creative gets watched.
The highest-intent placement and the right one to start with. Put video below the gallery or immediately after the description, tagged to the product being viewed plus one or two natural cross-sells. Shoppers reaching this point have already decided they are interested; video is closing evidence, not discovery.
A carousel of your strongest social clips does the job a hero banner used to do, with the advantage that each frame is clickable through to a product. This is where new visitors form an impression of the brand, so lead with creative that shows people using the products rather than product-on-white.
Underused and often the highest-leverage placement of the three. A shopper on a collection page is comparing options and has no way to differentiate between twelve similar thumbnails. Video breaks the tie.
A persistent, dismissible player that follows the shopper. Effective for a single hero campaign or a seasonal launch; counterproductive if left running permanently, because it competes with your own product pages for attention.
The most common objection to storefront video is speed, and it is a fair one — Shopify merchants have been trained by years of app bloat to assume every addition costs them Core Web Vitals. Byvano loads asynchronously and defers video payloads until the widget enters the viewport, so the widget does not block your Largest Contentful Paint element or contend with theme JavaScript during initial render.
The widget works with Online Store 2.0 themes through the theme editor, which means placement is a section you drag rather than a Liquid template you fork. That matters beyond convenience: a theme customisation survives a theme update badly, and a section does not.
Uninstalling is equally uneventful. Remove the section, and the storefront returns to its previous state — there is no orphaned script to hunt for in theme.liquid afterwards.
No. Byvano installs as an app and adds widgets through the Online Store 2.0 theme editor, so placement is drag-and-drop. Merchants on older vintage themes can place the widget with a single embed snippet, and support will do it for you if you would rather not.
The widget loads asynchronously and only fetches video payloads when it scrolls into view, so it does not block first paint or compete with your theme during initial render. Videos stream from the source platform rather than your Shopify CDN, so your own asset budget is unaffected.
Yes. Tag as many products as make sense onto a single video, each with its own timing and position. A styling video can carry the whole outfit, which is what makes video worth more than a static image on a collection page.
Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and direct uploads are supported on all plans. TikTok can be connected from the dashboard where available in your region. You can also upload video files directly if the content was never posted socially.
Merchants who install through the Shopify App Store are billed in Shopify Admin under Apps → Byvano, on the Free, Starter or Growth plan. Enterprise is arranged separately by email and never appears on your Shopify invoice.
Your storefront widget stops rendering and your Byvano library stays intact for the retention window described in the privacy policy. Because Byvano imports from your connected accounts rather than taking ownership of your files, the original videos remain yours on Instagram, YouTube or TikTok regardless.
