YouTube Shorts
Also known as: Shorts
YouTube's vertical short-form video format, up to 60 seconds, served in a dedicated Shorts shelf.
In detail
YouTube Shorts are vertical videos capped at 60 seconds that live in a Shorts shelf and in the main YouTube app. Shorts share the uploader's YouTube channel and are visible to subscribers, and can be scheduled through the YouTube Data API — which Byvano uses to let merchants publish Shorts from the same calendar they schedule Instagram Reels and Facebook posts from. On-site, a Short imported via Byvano behaves identically to a Reel in widget playback.
Examples
- A home-goods brand uploads a 30-second packing demo as both a Reel and a Short, scheduled at the same time, and places the Short on its "how it ships" page.
