First comment (Instagram)
Also known as: First-comment hashtags
A comment posted by the account author immediately after an Instagram post, usually to carry hashtags without cluttering the caption.
In detail
The first comment trick is to leave the caption clean and move all discovery hashtags into a reply posted by the same account seconds after publishing. Instagram's search still indexes hashtags in the first comment the same way it indexes the caption. Byvano's scheduler supports a first-comment field on every Instagram post so the two actions happen as one atomic publish.
Examples
- A fashion post uses a one-line caption and 15 hashtags in a first-comment: cleaner feed, same hashtag reach.
