Product tagging
Also known as: Video tagging, Shoppable tagging
Attaching a product reference to a specific moment of a video so viewers can tap it and open that product.
In detail
Product tagging is the act of linking a product in the store's catalog to a point in a video. The tag appears over the video at a position (and optionally a timestamp) the merchant picks, and when a viewer taps it the product page opens or the product gets added to the cart. In Byvano, tags are drawn directly from the connected Shopify or WooCommerce catalog, so the price, stock state and image stay in sync — a product going out of stock on Shopify immediately removes its purchase CTA from every video it is tagged in.
Examples
- A merchant uploads a UGC Reel, drops a tag on the sweater at 00:04 and the earrings at 00:11; both become clickable in every widget that embeds the Reel.
