Content
User-generated content (UGC)
Also known as: UGC video, Creator content
Content a customer or creator makes about a product, which the brand then republishes with permission.
In detail
User-generated content is the opposite of brand-produced content: the shopper, creator, or influencer films themselves using the product, and the brand re-uses that clip on its own channels and store. UGC converts higher than brand-produced imagery on most product pages because viewers can see the item in a realistic context. Byvano imports UGC Reels and TikToks via public URL (owner permission still required under the platforms' terms) and lets the merchant tag their own catalog products on the imported video for on-site shoppable playback.
Examples
- A beauty brand pulls three customer unboxing Reels, tags the lipstick in each, and places them in a floating player on the product page.
